Wood-burning vs gas — which?

Wood feels more authentic but means smoke, ash, burn-ban awareness. Gas is push-button convenient and cleaner. About 60% of our installs are gas.

Wood pits legal in Utah?

Yes, but Salt Lake County and others have winter inversion no-burn days. Gas is exempt.

Add a fire feature to existing patio?

Often yes — depends on existing slab/base spec and code clearances.

Distance from house?

Wood-burning: 10-15 feet from any structure. Gas with proper venting: as close as 3 feet.

Winter use?

Gas pits run year-round with freeze-tolerant valves. Wood pits work fine but need ash cleanup.

Coordinate with seating?

Yes — most of our fire features integrate with seat walls or built-in benches.
